Site Information
The domain name ozzieburn.com was established in 2001, but this project was started in 1996. Since it's inception it has gone through several major changes, including major coding changes and major content changes. It was started as an experiment and a learning tool and has just continued to grow. Since it's very first day of being a live website it has been hosted on Macintosh computers. It started out on a borrowed Macintosh IIci running OS 7.5.5 with 24 meg of RAM. Then it got moved around to a few other machines with a step up each time until the current which is a PowerMac Dual G4/533 with 1.5gb of RAM and running OS X.5.8 (Leopard). The latest major revision on the site took place in April, 2007, with some continual minor alterations since. This revision incorporated the widespread use of PHP and MySQL. The site is also developed and geared to a Macintosh, but is tested in several browsers on Windows, Macintosh, and Linux.

This site is the work of Jeff Orsburn. I have been using Macs since 1990. I had used other computers before this, but it was not until I sat in front of a good old Mac Classic with that 9 inch black and white screen, that I found a computer I liked. That was all it took, I have continued to use other platforms such as DOS, Windows, Linux, and Solaris, but none keep my attention like the Mac OS does. Because of this I have wanted to help others learn as much as possible about the Macintosh. Since I was introduced to them I have owned 78 computers, of which 70 of them have been Macintoshes. I started using Mac OS 6.0.4 and have used every version since then. I have over 9 years of technical support of both Macintosh and Windows in both a consumer and professional level of support. With this experience I feel it is safe to say that I have made an informed decision to choose the Mac as the better platform.

If you have a general comment or concern please email me. I welcome any kind of comment or concern. I don't really offer much support for what is available from this site, but I will help out where possible. I would also like to hear any stories that you may have involving these projects available from www.ozzieburn.com and how they helped or were involved. I try to keep up with some links on the main page that might be helpful to you in both developing your own, or just using my projects in your set up, but if you know of any more that you think would be good to put in the list, I definately welcome those ideas.
